A major supermarket once dubbed as the "most expensive" has just been crowned as the cheapest - beating out both Aldi and Lidl . Morrisons - which previously has been accused of "taking the mick" out of customers with price hikes, has now snatched the "cheapest" title after slashing the cost of an essential by 15% since last week. Since March 2022, The Manchester Evening News (MEN) publication has compared prices of a basket of goods each week across six of the major supermarkets in the UK.
