Petronas sees profit slide for third straight year as oil prices weigh on margins

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 : Malaysian state energy firm Petroliam Nasional Bhd , on Friday warned of eroding margins amid persistent geopolitical and economic risks, as subdued oil prices saw its profits decline for the third straight year. Petroliam Nasional, or Petronas, reported a profit after tax of 45.4 billion ringgit ($11.68 billion) in 2025 compared to 55.1 billion ringgit in 2024, while revenue fell to 266.1 billion ringgit ($68.44 billion) from 320 billion ringgit over the same period.
