Kyiv has struck a refinery some 1,700 kilometers (1,050 miles) east of Kyiv in Russia's Orenburg region, the regional governor said. Although there has been no official confirmation that it carried out the strike, Ukraine has increased its attacks on Russian refineries and other energy facilities since August in an effort to disrupt petrol supplies and deprive Moscow of funding. The strike comes days after a massive Russian drone and missile attack hit gas facilities in eastern Ukraine. Below
