Ljubljana, 4 July - Less than an hour after losing a parliamentary vote on a consultative referendum regarding defence spending on Friday, the ruling Freedom Movement decided to request its own consultative referendum on NATO membership. "This is the real question that the citizens must weigh in on," the party said. The proposal will be formally tabled next week.
