Sri Lanka inflation slows to 1.1% in August

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka's consumer price inflation slowed to 1.1 per cent year-on-year in August from 2.5 per cent in July, official data showed on Tuesday (Sep 24) after the country voted in a new president hoping to strengthen its economic rebound. The National Consumer Price Index captures broad retail price inflation and is released with a lag of 21 days every month.
