Joey Barton has pled not guilty to a charge of malicious communications at Liverpool Crown Court and has been released on bail until May 2025. Barton was charged with sending malicious communications online in relation to posts he made on Twitter which were directed at Eni Aluko. The 41-year-old, from Huyton in Merseyside, pleaded not guilty to the alleged offence at Warrington Magistrates' Court last month.
