A daily cold shower could help people burn fat, scientists say. A study has shown cold exposure each day helped people lose weight and researchers believe it is because it activates brown fat and speeds up the rate the body burns calories. Participants who wore a “cooling vest” for a couple of hours each morning had lost fat mass six weeks later while those who didn’t had put on weight. The research team are now launching a new trial to see if standing under a cold shower for 90 seconds each
