Ten victims of serial rapist PC David Carrick are suing the Metropolitan Police for a string of failings that left him free to subject them to horrific abuse. Carrick came to the attention of the force nine times but was repeatedly cleared to continue working as a gun carrying officer while abusing women. Details of the legal action can be revealed after he was found guilty today of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl and a former partner. The 50-year-old, who has already been jailed for life,
