France-Japan ties grow as Trump hits allies over Hormuz

French President Emmanuel Macron wrapped a two-day Tokyo visit, boosting cultural and diplomatic ties with Japan. He and Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi also called to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, as President Donald Trump ramps up pressure on allies to protect the key waterway.
