Dow falls more than 1,500 points amid tariff fallout

April 4 (UPI) -- U.S. markets plummetted for the second consecutive day as continued fallout from President Donald Trump 's "Liberation Day" tariffs continued to weigh traders. As of 12:30 p.m. EDT the Dow Jones was down 1,558.04 points, or 3.84%, while the S&P 500 fell 4.54%, and the Nasdaq Composite slid 4.65%.
