Ireland launches ‘large-scale inquiry’ into Musk’s AI bot Grok

Ireland's powerful data protection regulator has launched an investigation into Elon Musk's social media firm X over the wave of sexualized deepfakes generated by its AI tool Grok. The Irish Data Protection Commission is investigating Grok's "apparent creation" of "potentially harmful, non-consensual intimate and/or sexualised images" by processing the personal data of Europeans, including children, the regulator said in a statement.
