Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander has been speaking to Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips. Trevor and Heidi discussed the new deal announced by Sir Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron to trial a return of small boat migrants to France in exchange for asylum seekers coming back. In response, Alexander said: "We strongly believe that we have a workable deal in France…if we can stop the dinghy’s reaching British shores that a positive for everyone involved."
