President Donald Trump blew up his party’s own Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, renewal in order to install yet another wildly inexperienced MAGA loyalist. A bipartisan coalition of lawmakers has been planning since April to pass a long-term extension of FISA Section 702 , which is intended to shield U.S. citizens from the country’s warrantless surveillance program overseas.
