Michigan lawmakers are considering a proposal that could significantly change what food and drinks primary and secondary school students are allowed to buy on school grounds, with junk food , specifically soda and candy, potentially banned from sale under a Republican‑led education budget plan. Soda and candy are already banned within state‑subsidized breakfast and lunch programs, but the newly proposed House education budget would expand the restriction to other areas of school campuses,
