The Milan stock exchange's FTSE Mib index shed 1.2% in early trading on Thursday amid uncertainty about what will happen in the Iran war after US President Donald Trump's address to the nation on Wednesday. The other major European stock markets were down too after the speech, in which Trump said the US would continue to hit Iran hard for two to three weeks but did not say how the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened.
