The Italian Ambassador to Yerevan, Alessandro Ferranti, was received by the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, on the occasion of the celebrations for Italian Republic Day.     “In 1946, the Italian people faced a great responsibility in choosing the path their country would follow,” said the President. “The Italian people chose freedom and democracy. As an independent state, we made a similar choice in 1991, although many trials and challenges still lie ahead of us.”
