A wave of Arctic air sweeping across the UK is set to send temperatures plummeting to -10C, sparking warnings from health officials that the cold snap could lead to a surge in heart attacks and strokes. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued an amber cold weather alert for parts of England, including Yorkshire and Humber, the North West and the North East, while all other regions in England are under a yellow alert.
