The U.S. Transportation Department said Wednesday it has approved American Airlines ’ request to resume flights to Venezuela , clearing the way for service to Caracas and Maracaibo from Miami through the carrier’s wholly owned regional subsidiary, Envoy. The decision follows a January move by Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to rescind a 2019 order that barred U.S. airlines from flying to Venezuela.
