Pies, in their many formats from sweet to savoury, have been part of the English culinary scene since at least the 13th century. However, the ultimate pie for many Brits is the steak and ale. To ensure you make the most of this week-long pastry venture, I selflessly agreed to test all the supermarket steak pies to help you decide where to put your money. I sampled steak pies from M&S ,
