Paramedic jailed after driving accident killed colleague, 21, can return to work

A paramedic jailed and suspended after a driving accident caused the death of his colleague in an ambulance crash will be permitted to return to the profession. Edward Riding was convicted of causing the death of 21-year-old Alice Clark near Tonbridge on January 5, 2022, after he mistook a layby on the A21 for a turn-off. The ambulance he was driving partially mounted the kerb before colliding with a parked lorry and plunging into the back of a parked cement truck. Miss Clark, from Newington
