With an unimpressive 62-66 record on August 22 , 11 1/2 games behind the Cleveland Guardians in the AL Central division and 9 1/2 behind the Kansas City Royals for the third and final Wild Card spot, the Tigers won eight of their next 10 games — and then 15 of their last 19 to move into the second Wild Card. The Bengals then faced the Astros in the
