The Issue: Rep. Eric Swalwell resigns from Congress after a spate of sexual-assault allegations. Eric Swalwell dropping out of his gubernatorial race and resigning from Congress was a good move ( “Swal’s well that ends,” April 14). I am sure he didn’t do this out of sincere remorse, but political necessity. However, if the accusations against him are proven beyond a reasonable doubt, he should be forced to forfeit his congressional pension and other benefits. I’m tired of hard-working taxpayers
