Two women have died after a stolen BMW which was being chased by police crashed into their care home. The car left the road in Witherwack, Sunderland, on Wednesday evening with residents evacuated and some taken to hospital. Police have now confirmed a woman in her 90s and a woman in her 80s, who were residents at the care home, died on Thursday from their injuries. Two men, both aged 21, who were previously arrested over the incident have been further arrested on suspicion of manslaughter .
