Kenya's National Commission on Human Rights says it now believes at least 31 people died in nationwide anti-government demonstrations on Monday. Police reportedly opened fire at a charging crowd of protesters in the capital Nairobi, after a tense standoff. Hundreds of demonstrators were arrested.
