Goodbye "Little Fatty Teacher": He wasn't always the one on stage, but Yuan Weiren's songs were everywhere. Known for being one of the quiet architects of Mandopop’s golden years, Yuan died on Monday (Feb 2) at the age of 57 after suffering severe brain damage. He had a fall in 2018, which caused a brain haemorrage and was later diagnosed with a brain tumour.
