Wayne Rooney and Plymouth Argyle parted company on New Year's Eve - just before the former England star took centre stage in the club's brand new 2025 calendar. Rooney , 39, was appointed by the Championship outfit back in May but leaves with Argyle bottom of the table and four points adrift of safety after a rotten run of results. The club confirmed Rooney's departure by mutual consent on Tuesday morning. But on New Year's Day, a post on social media showing Rooney as the poster boy for
