Negeri Sembilan political crisis deepens as UMNO pulls support for its chief minister

A political standoff is deepening in Malaysia's Negeri Sembilan state. Political party UMNO has withdrawn support for Chief Minister Aminuddin Harun, after its assemblymen declared they had lost confidence in his leadership. The move comes amid a wider crisis, which has already resulted in the state assembly sitting postponed indefinitely. For now, Mr Aminuddin will continue in office, after the state's embattled ruler advised him to carry on administering the state. Melissa Goh reports from
