Ryanair Monday update as airline leaves European capital and cuts flights in half

Ryanair will shut its Berlin base and cut its winter schedule to the capital in half. The budget airline has taken aim at rising aviation taxes in Germany , blaming the extra charges for its decision to move. Ryanair will move seven aircraft to other centres, cutting its Berlin passenger numbers from 4.5 million to 2.2 million. Staff at the facility are being offered transfers to other European bases. The airline has said those aircraft will be stationed at "lower-cost airports in other EU
