Relief efforts are underway after Venezuela was struck by two successive earthquakes on Wednesday evening. At least 920 people have died, with 3,360 injured, said Jorge Rodríguez, the president of the country’s National Assembly, on Friday. Officials expect casualty numbers to rise as search and rescue teams continue working, with many people believed to be trapped beneath collapsed buildings. Over 50,000 people remain unaccounted for, according to the missing persons website Desaparecidos
