Pritam Singh holds on to position as Workers' Party Chief following special cadres conference

Workers’ Party (WP) secretary-general Pritam Singh has retained his position after a secret vote on his leadership at the opposition party’s special cadres conference on Sunday (Jun 28). The conference comes after 25 cadre members had asked Mr Singh at the end of 2025 to account for his conviction on charges of lying to a Committee of Privileges.
