A 25-year-old footballer has passed away after collapsing on the pitch whilst making his debut. Youssou Diouf was making his first appearance for Senegal side AS Saloum during a second tier fixture when, moments after the final whistle, he collapsed. Diouf had entered the match as a substitute in the closing 10 minutes of the encounter. He required urgent medical assistance, but the Daily Star reports that he died at the scene. A statement read: "The Senegalese Professional Football League (
