China is making efforts to assist its growing population of Alzheimer's patients. It has the greatest number of Alzheimer's patients in the world, with nearly 17 million people affected by the condition. The country's first dedicated facility for Alzheimer's patients is located in north-western Shaanxi's provincial capital Xi'an.
