Germany news: Berlin commits €60M to climate adaptation fund

German Environmental Minister Carsten Schneider has announced that Berlin will contribute €60 million ($70 million) to the International Adaptation Fund. The fund finances concrete climate adaptation projects in developing countries and has distributed some $1.4 billion since 2010, helping roughly 45 million people.
