According to a recent analysis by online real estate marketplace Zillow, the “hidden costs” of owning a home in the U.S. have now reached nearly $16,000 annually. The analysis was conducted alongside Thumbtack, a website connecting customers with local service professionals, and found that insurance, maintenance and property tax can now add up to $15,979 for the average homeowner, equivalent to $1,332 per month.
