We humans love to laugh at spectacles that are so cringe-inducingly awful they become an addictive pleasure. But there always comes a point when they turn into a parody of themselves, we get bored and switch off. For most of the world’s population that’s what has happened to the Donald Trump show. We’ve seen through the bluster. We know how his tantrums begin, how his bullying threats play out, and like a tired old vaudeville comedian we’ve decided he’s just no longer worthy of our attention.
