In 2026, Crypto Must Shift Focus From Theory to Revenue

For most of crypto’s history, progress was measured by technical ambition rather than commercial outcomes. New chains, faster execution environments and novel architectures attracted capital on the assumption that superior infrastructure would eventually pull users and revenue toward it. That assumption no longer holds. The industry now faces a structural imbalance: abundant infrastructure capacity but limited real economic throughput. Blockspace is plentiful. Differentiated demand is not.
