A total of 319 researchers from across Europe received funding from the ERC, as part of their latest Advanced Grant competition. The funding, worth €838 million (£722 million) in total, will give researchers the opportunity to pursue ambitious, curiosity-driven projects that could lead to major scientific breakthroughs.
