European markets head for broadly positive open ahead of earnings reports

LONDON — European stocks are expected to open in flat-to-higher territory on Wednesday with more earnings reports due. The U.K.'s FTSE and Germany's DAX are expected to open a touch higher, while France's CAC 40 seen up 0.24% and Italy's FTSE MIB 0.11%, according to data from IG. The lackluster open expected in Europe comes after regional markets settled down following a short-lived sell-off in cryptocurrencies and precious metals.
