Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), 83, checked himself into the hospital for “flu-like symptoms” on Monday night, “in an abundance of caution,” his spokesperson David Popp told HuffPost Tuesday. “His prognosis is positive and he is grateful for the excellent care he is receiving. He is in regular contact with his staff and looks forward to returning to Senate business,” Popp added.
