The latest revival of “ Mystery Science Theater 3000 ” is off to a strong start. At the time of this publishing, the Kickstarter campaign for the four new episodes of the beloved series has generated $1.17 million dollars in just 24 hours. To put that in perspective, that is roughly equivalent to the budget of the 1975 Joe Don Baker film “Mitchell.” The original goal of the Kickstarter was to raise $20,000 in celebration of the 20th anniversary of RiffTrax . The campaign runs through March 16.
