March 18 (UPI) -- U.S. forces successfully deployed bunker-buster bombs against hardened Iranian missile sites along Iran's coastline near the strategically key Strait of Hormuz maritime artery, which Iran has effectively closed off. U.S. Central Command said in a post on X late Tuesday that the 5,000 pound "deep penetrator munitions" were used because the anti-ship missiles at the sites "posed a risk to international shipping in the strait." No other details were provided but the weapons are a
