Cris Abrego will remain as the chair of the Television Academy , the organization announced today . Abrego was reelected by the Academy for a second consecutive term, effective Jan. 1, 2026. Abrego, who ran for re-election unopposed, was reupped during a TV Academy meeting Thursday night that also included the election of board officers and governors who will serve through the end of 2027. “I’m honored to continue in this role,” Abrego said in a statement. “The past two years have underscored
