Hong Kong's newly elected LegCo vows to investigate deadly blaze, push for construction reforms

Hong Kong has voted in its eight Legislative Council, 12 days after a fiery blaze ripped through a housing estate, leaving 159 dead and questions in its wake. The newly elected vowed to support investigations and safety reforms. The LegCo line-up comprises 40 new faces and a slate that has greater links to mainland Chinese enterprises. Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee said the smooth running of the election showed electors' support for the government’s recovery and reform work. Deborah Wong
