Trump threatens 100% tariffs for nations with digital service taxes

June 26 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump on Friday threatened to impose a 100% tariff on any country that enacts a digital services tax against a U.S. company. The new tariff would be applied to all goods shipped into the United States and be levied on top of any other tariff already in effect for that country, Trump said in a post on Truth Social. At least a dozen nations have digital services taxes, which are meant to limit the influence of large technology companies -- especially large U.S.
