North Korea has fired around 10 ballistic missiles towards the eastern sea, prompting condemnation from Seoul. South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said the missiles were fired from an area near the North Korean capital and flew about 350km. The military has stepped up surveillance, warning that it is ready to respond to any provocation.
