The number of Romanians seeking work abroad has steadily declined in recent years, with 2025 marking the lowest level between 2021 and 2025 in terms of interest in jobs outside the country. Out of 9.8 million total applications recorded so far this year, only 106,000 targeted international positions, representing just 1.1% of all applications.
