GENEVA The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) on Wednesday issued a warning to mariners operating in the Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, and Strait of Hormuz, citing heightened regional tensions that could affect commercial shipping. In a statement, UKMTO said it "has been made aware of increased tensions within the region which could lead to an escalation of military activity having a direct impact on mariners."
