Advanced weather modelling maps show snow could fall in several places in the coming days as temperatures in some parts of the country take an Arctic plunge Weather maps suggest Brits could soon be hit by snow as autumn takes a firmer grip. The GFS weather model maps show snow falling over the Scottish Highlands and the northern part of Argyll and Bute at around 6am on October 7. The data suggests snow could be falling at a rate of around 3cm per hour with Glencoe, Ben Nevis and Invergarry
