California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) is gleefully poking holes in House Speaker Mike Johnson ’s boasts of Republican transparency in government. On Monday, Newsom’s press office shared a video on X of Johnson speaking to reporters amid the government shutdown , now in its second week. “When the simple truth is on your side, you have nothing to hide from,” Johnson proclaims in the 53-second clip, shortly before blaming the shutdown on Democrats. “Then why are you hiding the Epstein list?” Newsom’s
