Asian shares are mostly lower after a wild day on Wall St ends with modest moves

Shares slipped Friday in Asia after a day of dramatic swings on Wall Street that included Microsoft’s worst drop in nearly six years. Oil prices fell more than $1 and the prices of gold and silver weakened. Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 shed 0.5% to 53,119.18 as stocks related to artificial intelligence declined.
